The course will provide general information on data management and quality control of different marine data types and an overview of the main EU Blue Data Infrastructures, their tools and services.  The FAIR data management principles will be used as guidelines to introduce interoperability solutions (metadata and standards) and discuss the data life cycle and how to develop data management plans (DMP). Technical aspects and specific tools (i.e. Ocean data View, ERDDAP) will be introduced together with practical examples and exercises. Data and data products publication (i.e. DOI) best practices will also be introduced.
