     Rescue and Survival Training Center Staff

    STCW stands for "Standard of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping" and the course is designed to provide the fundamental skills needed for the maritime career to ensure safety and survival on board. Combining theory and practice, this program provides knowledge of safety at sea, survival, and shipboard behavior. Simulation practice tests for challenging and collaborative learning. The course is mandatory to embark and work on the RV Gaia Blu.

    The course is divided into several sections, including: Personal Safety and Liability, Fire Prevention and Fighting, Rescue and aid, Safety at Sea. The course is essential to ensure that seafarers are prepared to handle emergency situations and contribute to the safety of the ship and crew.

  • The training course has taken place in accordance with regulation VI/1-3, of the IMO STCW/78 Convention as emended, of the Section A-VI/1-3 of STCW Code in compliance with procedures of the Directoral Decree 1653/2024 dated 21/10/2024.

  • At the trainig Center recognized by Ministry of the Infrastructures and Transpor – Italian Coast Guard Headquarters with Decree n°944/2018 in date 29/08/2028
    The training course has taken place in accordance with procedures of the D.D 02/05/2017.

  • The course was held at Tecno Italia Safety and Survival Training recognized by Ministry of the Infrastructures and Transport – Italian Coast Guard Headquarters with Decree n°5582/PF5 in date 21/10/2005.
    The training course has taken place in accordance with regulation VI/1, of the IMO STCW95 Convention Annex ad emended of the section A-V1 para 2.1.4 of STCW code in compliance with IMO Model Course 1.21 and with procedures of the Directorate Decree 04/06/2024.

  • The course was held at Tecno Italia Safety and Survival Training recognized by Ministry of the Infrastructures and Transport – Italian Coast Guard Headquarters with Decree n°316/2018 in date 29/03/2018.
    The training course has taken place in accordance with procedures of the D.D 02/05/2017.
