  • The course is intended for users and administrators of semantic artefacts (e.g., thesauri, ontologies, and glossaries), as well as anyone interested in learning the key features of the Terminology Service. It covers topics such as federated search, semantic annotation of digital objects, and their integration into external (meta)data management systems.

  • The course aims to provide a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts of semantic interoperability, including key language models and the lexicalization of semantic artefacts. Participants will gain practical skills in using the Terminology Service, with a focus on searching for concepts, translations, and alignments across semantic artefacts.

In addition, the course explores features related to the integration with semantic artefact catalogues, including tools for discovery and exploration, the import of artefacts from external catalogues, and the management of updates and versions.

Finally, the course introduces the implementation of widgets for semantic search and annotation within (meta)data management systems and demonstrates the use of VocBench for creating and managing alignments.
